About

My research is focussed around fungal systematics, fungal communities and their interactions with the environment. I am also very interested in ethnomycology, which is always including medicinal and practical aspects of fungi. The Mycological Collection (IB) is a very important source of fungal reference material for sequence databases and for morphological comparison. I am curating the Mycological Collection (IB) together with Regina Kuhnert.
